Winter is Here! 

Here are some tips to ensure safe driving this winter: 
  • Drive at a reasonable and practical speed for the conditions.
  • Increase your following distance. 
  • Do not use cruise control in adverse conditions.
  • Use three points of contact when entering and exiting your truck.

Jackknifing and running off the road are the most common accidents during this time of year. Be prepared and stay safe out there!

About ICSA

Founded in 2019, the Independent Carrier Safety Association (ICSA) is a non-profit dedicated to enhancing highway safety for single-truck operators and small fleets. We provide essential safety tools, consulting, and training programs at minimal or no cost. Membership dues are capped at $500 annually, with rates of $100 for the first truck and $25 for each additional Truck.

Membership Requirements:

  • Install ICSA-approved in-cab event recorders in all trucks. Existing installations from approved vendors do not require purchases if ICSA can access the data.
  • Meet ICSA's safety score criteria. 
  • Undergo mandatory hair drug testing via The Alcohol and Drug Testing Service (TADTS) and adhere to a zero-tolerance drug policy.
  • Provide access to electronic logging device (ELD) data through Idelic.
  • Maintain a maximum speed limit of 68 mph.
  • Remain in good financial standing with ICSA.
